WAR-SAV

War-sav! Means « Stand Up! » in Breton. Such is the invitation offered to dancers by these young musicians from the Trégor region of Brittany who, since 2011 can be seen and heard, on the stages of numerous Breton festivals.
The recipe for their wonderful music is a well-kept secret: “All we can tell you is, that it is a perfect mix of traditional tunes, basted with a colourful folk sauce, and marinated in an energy saturated jus… to be eaten very hot and without moderation!”
The team is made up of five guys. Present from the very start, Elouan Le Couls, violinist, is the last of the band to have known the original recipe. His 4 strings to his bow, are outnumbered by the guitarist Camille Bossard’ sixes. Only 2 cords (in his throat) suffice to our crooner mod Bro Dreger Korentin “Koko” Le Davay to harangue the crowd and to sing the dañs tro in his inimitable way. As for Mathieu Messager, he is the band’s bombarde player and shares his taste for reeds with Matthieu Foltête whose accordion is full of them! Despite being anchored in the Trégor, the band does not hesitate to roam the Beton roads and beyond in their desire to meet more and more dancers! Tan deï !
Trio Roblin-Evain-Badeau

Since 2013, Benoît Roblin, Julien Evain, and Thomas Badeau have been sharing their music with great enthusiasm and generosity. Without any preconceived notions, the musical universe that is being built within the trio draws from archives, field recordings, and all the music that the three companions have access to. This energetic music generates interest from both music lovers and dance enthusiasts.
It is one of the most original dance trios of the moment! It brings together Thomas Badeau, clarinettist from Esquisse and the “Jeu à la Nantaise” collective, Benoît Roblin, hurdy-gurdy player from Berry, and Julien Evain, accordionist from Vendée. The repertoire alternates dances from the three regions. The sound is unique: a clarinet leading the dance and improvising, an electro hurdy-gurdy that is both melodic and percussive, and an accordion providing harmony and bass play. Subtle and energetic!
